Keep It Secure Vignettes

As part of the VA Keep It Secure campaign, Gig Line Media produced six peer-to-peer vignettes that share authentic Veteran-to-Veteran conversations and normalize secure firearm storage as part of everyday readiness. Each story highlights how small, intentional choices can create time and space when it matters most. The series was built for flexibility across broadcast, digital, and community channels and is featured in VA’s community education webinars on lethal means safety to help clinicians and partners start conversations about risk, responsibility, and care.

Inspired by the VA Office of Suicide Prevention’s core themes, each vignette brings key concepts of the Keep It Secure campaign to life: what “secured” means, how “time and space” save lives, when and who should secure firearms, and how to stay safe while protecting your family. Together, they translate these ideas into real conversations that Veterans can relate to and act on.
